This weeks dealership order cycle allocation constraints are out and they are important in the wheel department.

The only wheel that appears to be available for allocation during this weeks order cycle is the optional PD5-18" Chromed Aluminum Wheels. A $795 option.

Both the standard N87-18" Painted Aluminum Wheels and the first level optional QF8-18" Polished Aluminum Wheels ($545) are showing 0% availability.

This is being shown as a supplier capacity issue, with a greater then 4 weeks length. The total impact is hard to predict. This is the second week that there have been wheel constraints. Although last week the painted was not constrained, thw chrome was, and the polsihed had some availability. There is ony one more dealership order cycle allocation scheduled for December (next week on the 15th). Then two weeks without one for the holidays. So the four weeks could be over by the time the first dealership order cycle allocation of January comes up.

I think we will just have to see week to week how wheels are available for a while. See what new information the new year brings.

Those that might be effected should take a moment ot read last weeks wheel thread for how it could effect you and your options. Just change to options to match this weeks constraints.

Here is an update and edit on your choices for 12/08/05:

Quote:
Your (Those who are due to be allocated this week) choices would appear to be:

1) Stay the course.
Stick with your wheel choice and just wait it out. This would involve your dealership by passing your order for the next in line. This only works if they keep you at the top of the list for a possible shot with their next allocation, if they have a buildable order after yours, if they will do it, and if your want them to.

2) Take upgraded chrome wheel.

You would have to agree to take the chrome and pay the higher cost ($795). Of course the dealership would have to agree to this, as they could have a buildable chrome wheel sold order after your in line, but you are next.

Make your choice and communicate with your dealership.
