On a four cylinder engine, to get a 10% increase (17.7 HP) from just an intake and cat back would mean there was something wrong with the stock design or the manufacturer was low balling the HP numbers. I doubt either's the case. Looks like dyno differences.

By the way, several people have reported an Ecotec seems to loosen up more than other cars. About how many miles do you have on the car?

I know what you mean about wondering if a new exhaust is any faster. It's hard to eliminate that joyous "sounds faster factor". One test of improved engine efficiency, did you see an increase in gas mileage after the mods?

Yeah it loosened up tremendously. I have about 4600miles on the car. I didn't really see to much in the increase in gas mileage, But i think it's me. I'm constantly on the gas to hear my own exhaust, it sounds so beautiful.
