I should have read the manual closer. Thought the break in was 1000 miles. I've been holding it to under 4000 RPM till yesterday. Sitting at a stop sign next to a state highway. Looked down at the odometer and it said 996. Close enough to the magic 1000. Told the son sitting next to me, "Watch this" (red necks last words
). Spun the tires pulling onto the highway. Took it to redline. Got a good chirp going into second. Strung pull (but no chirp) at third. He and I were impressed, especially considering the big wheels and tires. Acceleration is a little faster than I thought it'd be. Now the fun begins!
