If this car was available for test rides and that noise was there, I most likely would have passed the car over. Each machine has its issues but 'verts have been around for long enough that this shouldn't be an issue anymore.
Somewhere here there is talk about GM coming up with a new seal. Will wait and see.
I agree with you. I think the Solstice is quieter at 50+MPH with the top down and the windows up than with the top up. In looking at the design, I think the problem is with the buttress. The wind gets up underneath it and creates a lot of turbulence. I don't think there is a leak issue but if a weather stripping could be designed to seal on the deck lid all the way around the buttress, I think the wind noise would stop.
