Well, I just found out that I'm number 6 at my dealer, and they told me that we're getting 6 by the end of the production year (odd, yes, but I don't have the stomach to argue with that). So, if true, I'm getting mine next spring/summer, so I don't have to worry about that for a while! However, I do live in Alaska and we have winter 5 months out of the year. Up here, if you get a rwd without a differential, you're gonna ditch in the winter a lot more often than without it. Also, I'd need something to up the ride height a few inches to clear the few inches of fresh snow (I got a GMC Sierra high-centered once...). Hopefully coilovers will fix that. But, if my plan all goes according to, well...plan...then I should be out of here next summer and in a Pharm school down in Americaland. But if I was to stay up here, then yah, I'd have to drive it in winter anyway. I'd get a parking garage pass at the uni though.

edit: Oh, and my plan before the pharm school idea was to drive it in winter on the stock rims with studded tires (if nokian will make some low profile 18s) and then buy some uber nice 18s after the snow melted. I was thinking Momo X-1's in red, with red brake calipers that will be done on day 1 of ownership. To me, that's like having 6 big rubies in each wheel well!!
