In post #163 I posed that at the end of the post. Back when BFG had good autocross tires, they had incredibly stiff inner sidewalls to control deflection. If that sort of carcass came on the R-comp market again it could allow 40 or 45 profile tires on Kappas. Width would become an issue though. I wonder what the acceleration gains are with the 30 and 35 profile tires, and if enough time is gained to offset the occassional visit to third gear on some courses.
