Intresting, i always wondered why there was a solenoid to the surge valve.
To check that the solenoid is cutting off air to the surge valve you could install 2 boost gauges before and after the solenoid and monitor both gauges while boosting and see if the one after the solenoid shows less pressure.
Whose got 2 boost gauges handy?
