Also my Solstice isnt nearly as good suspension wise as my Shinka Model RX8 and the addition of a Strut Bar to it I noticed it helped as well.....so go figure....
These are shocks, not struts for the Sol. How shocks are mounted as opposed to struts is why on cars like your RX-8 that their effects are non-existent in terms of keeping the shock towers from flexing. Strut towers will flex. However, I will buy that independent of shock flex, that strut/shock bars can in fact strengthen the chassis a bit.
I have strut bars on my RX-8, but not because I thought it would keep the shock towers in line. I saw it as a cheap way, like Mazdaspeed or AutoEXE undercarriage braces, to strengthen the car. Probably more snake oil then anything else as I've tracked with and without them and noticed no appreciable difference.
If you think you felt a difference in your RX-8, especially if it were driving on the street where you should be nowhere near the limits, I'd suggest placebo effect.
I think my point is no harm in getting them, but money would better be spent on tires and alignment, etc...than on that particular part. That, along with undercarriage braces, were last on my list.
