After I ordered my Solstice, about ten months had gone by when I noticed on my statement points dissapearing? I contacted GM Card for an explaination. They said that, If you don't use your points within so many years, they start taking back the points monthly beggining with the first months points, then the second and so on until you have no points if you don't purchase a new vehicle. I informed them that I was waiting on my Solstice to arrive and I was ticked. They agreed to halt reverse withdrawal for 3 months, but would at that time (If I hadn't purchased) take all 3 months off at one time and continue this practice until I purchased or ran out and restarted. My car came in before their deadline. As a matter of fact, they started adding monthly points again after the conversation. I was down to about 3,250. When the car came, I was warned that I might only get about 1,200. towards the purchase. Well, After the delay, the Wrong Seats and the great salesperson I deal with, A call by my super sales gal to GM expressing what a valued customer I was along with what was posted on my account from 3 months before, GM Card gave me all my points to keep me happy!
