All Ecotec's use the same block if they're from the same generation (Gen I or II). They all start as the same basic casting and machined for the different bores.
That said, the Red Bull Solstice has pressed in cylinder liners anyway and much of the block is far from any stock piece. The original specs when the car was released last fall have changed.

I'm not even sure the 2.0L listed in the second link you posted is a GenII block. I think the first motor in the car was a left over drag motor.
