I'm not even sure the 2.0L listed in the second link you posted is a GenII block. I think the first motor in the car was a left over drag motor.


ah then it makes more sense now, cause i originally thought they said they over-bored, but i could not find any articles regarding that

So sorry for hijacking! anyways, I'd go with a GXP, as you could always go with the idea of "enough power to hold you over until you buy mods" as opposed to "buy cheaper to afford early mods".
