I had my Sky at the dealer last week for the same issue.
They told me that GM says some wind noise is normal for a convertible.
I won't write what I think of that answer, having owned several convertibles in the past.
My noise is coming from the rear of the side window, just behind the door lock stalk. The entire rest of the top seals just fine, but the noise I'm getting is annoying and starts right around 40 mph, getting worse the faster I go.
I wanted to take the Sky on a trip from Cleveland to Knoxville, but I don't know if I can stand the noise for the 8 hour drive.
I looked at the seal and it appears to me that the seal is hollow. Its reasonably firm for most of its length (no jokes please). However, as you get towards the bottom of the window edge, the seal becomes very easy to deform. My theory is that the seal doesn't have sufficient structure in that area to push itself against the window and/or the pressure of the air rushing past the seal at that point is enough to overcome the seal and deform it.
I have to look at it in more detail, but I'm wondering if I couldn't stuff the cavity with some sort of foam just to support the seal profile enough to eliminate the noise.
Other than the driveline clunking (which GM also said was normal) that I've managed to mostly "shift around" by modifying my clutching style, this wind noise is the only thing about the car that I am unsatisfied with.
