I'll see what I can do-it's the joint where the top strap section connects to the rack and the lower strap section-no bolts were loose, it appears to have just flexed at that point, when the lid was closed, with contents on the rack.
I'm not going to get into all the comments about whether or not your rack is droopy or not, seems hearty enough to me! However, I'm really surprised that no one else has commented on how nice your rear end is!
