same...my car is driven onto a full lift each time.
(I do the tire rotation at home)

I have a 3.5" jack and use a flat piece of 1 x 6 wood over the lifting circle
I position it at the foam spots and inside the quarter panel
if any crimping is done it is my own fault.

all service at my dealership is done with all feet touching the lift.
