I'm coming to the opinion that Vector did a lot more to my ECM than restore its stock program.

Have run into this with other GM ECM's, only 1 Bosch-duramax. The only fix was ECM replacement. Have tried to reflash problem ECM's but to no avail. Root cause was almost always external electrical fault (just boosted from or to another vehicle, faulty charging system, shortcuting repair/replacement procedures, etc..) What procedure did you use to reduce the chance of ESD (electrostatic discharge) during ecm removal & replacement-possible cause.
Depending on what was changed during a reflash a security relearn may or may not be needed, engine will crank & fire up but stall-cuts injectors. As a matter of practice I always do a crank/cam relearn on any ecm that supports it after any reflash/replacement as well as certain other repairs.
Sorry for the bad news but I hope this helps.
