It is happening more and more now and the manual says I should never have to check fluid levels. The car does not have a leak or drip in the differential. Any ideas?
BTW, my car is an automatic.
Forgetting about what the owner's manual may "suggest" about never having to check fluid levels in the transmission; Is there a dipstick for checking the fluid level like most automatic transmissions have? If so; I would suggest driving the car until it is fully warmed up and then checking the level of fluid in the transmission. But; from the sounds of what you're describing, considerable damage may have already occurred. This sounds like a great time to USE THAT POWERTRAIN WARRANTY!!!! That's what it's there for.
