We did think long and hard before implementation of this.
Here are some (but not all) of the reasons for doing this. First, the number of new members having trouble finding a club near them keeps grtowing. Second, the most current activities of a small club can drop off the page being pushed down by larger numbers pf posts from larger clubs. Third it adds a little bit of organization to an otherwise chaotic section of teh forum. Fourth it is a logical extension of the regional groupings.
Now, the mechanics, new posts regardless of which club they are in should show if you select "new posts" from the tool bar. Recent Topics button will also take you to any recent thread you have posted in. You can save your club's page as a favorite in any browser so that you could log-in directly to that page. And it is up to the members in charge of each club whether they are included in the breakdown or not. Remember this is a voluntary program and most posts will not get moved unless requested. Plus for the clubs that wish, it becomes a more manageable environment with most activities by a club up front (within the club page) and readable. If it is an issue where a club wants to involve neighboring clubs they can post a thread one level up, or even a duplicate post within the other club's page - there are no restrictions in that respect where a person posts. But on the other hand it does offer a level of intimacy (not privacy) to the clubs that select to do this. BTW, the response so far by the clubs is overwhelmingly in favor.
Each club's sticky section at the top of their page will be dictated by the club itself, if they want potential members to easily find contact info, membership list, etc. in addition to run and event information.
