OK I have several mods on my car all of which have improved performance. I have had inconsistent performance since the car was new sometimes really fast other times it seemed a bit off, pretty much the same after the mods. Well I have found the cause, or should I say causes. First one was at the intake side of the boost tubes. I replaced the factory rubber hose with a Dejon metal elbow, found the rubber hose was loose at the intake and had been leaking boost, you could see the marks on the rubber. Things improved. This past weekend I replaced the intercooler and other hoses with silicone and finished replacing all the clamps with T-bolt clamps. When I pulled the hose off of the turbo the clamp was finger tight, this is the factory rubber hose that came with a T-bolt clamp. I tightened everything up and put it back together. The difference is very nice it performs much more consistently and power and gas mileage are way up. I should have checked these long ago, but never thought they would be loose from the factory and not throw some kind of code. I recommend the T-bolt clamps, they are $4 each and worth the money and effort, I doubt I will have a problem again.

Moral is the cheapest mod you can do may yield huge results.
