If we wanted to tie this into the sub frame, and make it a full roll bar, and not a style bar, you would no longer have your convertible top, and major modification to the car would have to be done custom, every time

So many Sol owners are so hungry for a roll bar that will allow their participation in SCCA sanctioned events, they grasp and become impatient for any solution that looks to come close. All these naysayer questions and negative comments are regrettable. I've heard that, to a certain extent, approval of this bar rests with the discretion of the SCCA inspector at each local event. I hoping for all Sol racers, and me, that the RMM design will pass SCCA muster.

RMM is not far from where I live. I intend to visit RMR's shop later this week and see for myself just how safe the 'style bar' looks top be. If I see what I expect to see, I will buy one (bare metal, to be painted Mysterious black). It has to be safer than nothing for the street and other non-SCCA events, and if it gets SCCA approval, hooray for RMR and me.

To the naysayers, it would be nice for them to just back off and design their own SCCA compliant roll bar and maybe even give RMR a bit of credit for attempting to tackle a problem we all want a solution for.
