Mine is ripped pretty good & the nylon tabs did the trick. I'll probably patch the torn area anyway. Need to figure out which adhesive to use that is stretchable. Probably rubber cement or a good weatherstripping adhesive. Any suggestions.
Spray silicone works well for freeing up the glides for the butress fabric that pulls down over the window frame. If it moves freely it will have less tension at the area that gets torn. I thing grease will collect grit & make it worse
