Is 245 the end of the line? DDM adds 50 with the s/c so 177+50 = 237 (or 195WHP) but exhaust mods can add another 15 or 20 can't they?? If so, that would give me 250ish with 210 to the wheels. I think that might be enough to take the listed cars between lights.

Low end torque is another reason I'm leaning toward DDM

Stock Boxster S has 320 HP, you add a supercharger or a turbo you may stay close enough to see his/her license plate. I was humbled by a blond driving a canary yellow S. I seen her speed activated spoiler popped up and then she walked about from me. I took the same exit as her and pulled in on the opposite side of the pump, struck up a conversation and got a date (not a small feat given my less than prince charming looks and less than charismatic personality). The gearing of the Boxster made better use of the power. I think I could take the S in a quarter mile sprint but I can't touch it on a roll from 50 MPH. I run out of transmission at 127 MPH. Plus the NA kappa is a real pig at high speed. The suspension on the NA kappa is still way too soft for this type of driving. Redline/GXPs are totaly different at speed than the NA kappas due to the upgraded and firmer suspension

The gearing in the 2.4 kappa tranny isn't very good for a modded car (or stock car for that matter). I cannot run WTO in 1st or second due to the super low gearing. The General in his infinite wisdom gave us a tranny from his parts pin, the same one that's used in the Colorado PUs. My biggest complaint I have about the kappa platform is that they shift like cheap pickup trucks. The gearning in the Redline/GXPs is musch closer. I would like to find a wrecked Redline/GXP and scavenge the tranny from it (direct bolt up???)

I still think you would be better off trading for a GXP. Factory turbo with warranty, gearing better matched to power and a way better suspension. I think the GXP may also have some badging and interior upgrades.
