Glad you are OK, your post sounds like you stayed relatively in control during the incident, if it happened to me my post would have a more freaked out tone to it. I hope GM is made aware of this, could be an isolated event but your vehicle does have high mileage, could be a durability issue with the harness. Also if you do experience a financial loss I would thing GM should compensate you in some way.
