As most of you know by now we have been testing intercoolers and set-ups for the intercooled, or stage II SC. The biggest thing about this upgrade kit is the intercooler. We worked with a local company who have supplied many OEM's with performance Intercoolers and other parts for their show cars and production vehicles and all I can say is WOW!! The intercooler is easily the highest tech and best intercooler I have seen out there. The extruded tubes allow air to pass easily through the intercooler to make sure that we do not have any of the overheating issues. Also the fins that are used for heat transfer are an engineered piece on this intercooler and have little louvers on them to increase the surface area available for heat transfer even more. The internal extruded design maximizes flow and heat transfer. With careful design we are only only seeing around 1 psi pressure drop from the supercharger outlet all the way over to the MAP sensor at the head, which is very very good on a set-up like this.

So now the part that everyone is waiting on the numbers. 235HP and 245ft/lbs of torque at the wheels and that torque comes in very low. This thing really is a torque monster and very very fun to drive around town. Need to pass? even in 5th gear there is so much torque available instantly that there is no need to downshift. No need to wait for a turbo to spool at 2K, the power is instantly there. The intercooler only makes this an even more ideal street set-up for those looking for great drivability and something with an immediate kick in the pants of big torque fun!

Here is a comparison graph of stock vs. modded Solstice vs. DDM Stage 1 (non-intercooled) vs. DDM Stage 2 (intercooled):

The red line is the DDM SC intercooled
The smaller purple line just below is a turbo kit for the 2.4L
The orange line is the DDM SC non-intercooled
The Dark blue line is a modded Solstice
The Dark green line is a Stock Solstice

And the second question that you have is going to be price. The intercooler kit is $1250, but we will be offering special package pricing and initial offering. The full intercooled supercharger kit seperately is $4495, but we are offering the first full kits for $4250.

We have talked with the intercooler manufacturer and they are telling us that the first production batch of intercoolers will be completed by the end of January.

As for all of you that have purchased a supercharger kit already, just give Ivy a call and she will put you on the list for the intercooler, there will be a small deposit of $100 just to secure your spot. Those that have not purchased a kit already, give us a call and we will put you on the list for the first intercooled kits. The deposit on the intercooled kits is $1000.

I think that the wait has been worth it, Randy's car is really a blast to drive right now.

Now time to start on stage III
