It's a good idea not to let the dex-cool level get too low. There are also good flush kits available to clean out the engine of any build-up. Personally I'm not a fan of the stuff. There is evidence the stuff reacts in air at high temperature to make a nice sludge, so don't let that level get too low.

If you're having a leak, I'd definately start with the radiator cap. Common problem, and not just on the Solstice. Let's face it, it's a spring, they wear out.
