Why would the results be a joke? It is an honest question and there is no reason people shouldn't be giving honest responses. Keep in mind that not everyone has a clunk either. Cars with automatics are less likely to have clunks. Cars built after they installed the torque bar (2007 MY running change) generally have not had clunks. Therefore, a significant number of cars are on the road. Still, if 23% of cars exhibit the problem, that is a LOT of cars to have a problem from any automaker. The numbers I have heard are much less than 23%, but that is the poll result here anyway.

When will GM do something? They did... they redesigned the car with the torque bar to help eliminate the clunk. Unfortunately, this design change is something that cannot be retrofitted to prior cars, which leaves your '06 out. Also unfortunately, I suspect there won't be a fix from GM since the fix they deemed necessary cannot be retrofitted.
