BTW, in the review section of the Tire Rack web site, some guy with a BMW really bad-mouthed the Z-III's traction. Care to comment?
I think the 275's on the 18x9 OZ's have a very good chance at clearing with no problems. I know the wheels will clear and I run 265/40R18's all around right now. The 275 Sumitomos are only 0.2" wider and 0.3" taller than my 265 Michelins, thus I think they will fit fine. Since I have not tested it I can not guarantee they will fit but I am pretty sure they won't have any problems.
As far as lowering springs, you should be able to align the car with factory adjustments after the install so I think you'll be fine. A lowering spring only changes the static ride height, not your suspension geometry. Since your car should be able to be aligned properly without having to add an adjustable upper A-arm, or some other camber adjuster that affects suspension geometry, you should have no problems as long as you keep your bump stops the same length.

There's another guy who thinks they outgrip the Yokohama Advan A048, which is a DOT R-compound tire. In reality it is an excellent performance value, competitive with the top Max Performance tires out there, at a very good price.
