If I was you I would just get a miata motor with turbo from flying Miata and call it a day. Been done a million times and works like a charm.

You can also run an after market ECU with the S2000 and shouldn't have to run the gauges like you said.

I think the GXP motor would be a freaking nightmare to get it to work.
