Since Lucy'sDaddy started this thread with a GM link, as of the February TechLink issue, the list has been updated. Carries a Nov 26, 2007 revision date. Page three is the one to look at.

It now lists 8 products, some in different viscosity grades, as GM4718M Registered Products.

Guess that leaves the discussion to oils that say they meet the GM specs vs. GM which has an approved list. The link in the openning post, talks about GM actually testing the oils. So those that say they meet, but are not on GM's list, did they not pass the test or not be tested?
