It got my mom and my grandma had a bad heart for 20 years before it got her.

Longevity is on my dad's side. All his relatives live to be about 100 no matter what! So I'm either going to check out early or live to be 120!

The last 2 years I've been exercising as much as 5-6 times a week. Lately it's been 4. Mainly cause I have a few issues and also because I've lost a lot of pounds and don't want to end up like my mom. Now if I could only stay away from eating cookies and chocolate!!

My mom had warning signs for about 6 weeks before she ended up in the hospital and passed away. Her right arm (yes...it's the right in women!) bothered her to the point she couldn't even hold a pen and write anymore. She thought it was something else as the doc had just done a thorough examination a few weeks before it all started. And he was especially concerned with her heart as she was extremely obese. She had absolutely no trouble before that time, but it's what usually gets the morbidly obese.

I watched my good friend who was my retired manager go through the exact same things she went through at the same ages. He was also morbidly obese. It's a very sad thing to see. He passed away about 1 year ago from a combination of an extremely fast acting leukemia and his heart. His heart gave out about a week after he began treatment for the leukemia despite the fact he tolerated the treatment very well. He passed away in a very similar fashion as my mom. That was a tough one for me.

So watch your diet, and get lots of exercise. What's meant to be is meant to be, but it can't hurt to do these things!!
