Dealerships received the recall bulletin and procedures on February 1st.

They also were scheduled to receive a listed on involved vehicles assigned to their dealerships. This listing would include In-Stock Solstices, Solstices sold by the dealership, and in some cases Solstices registered in the dealerships area that were sold elsewhere.

The GM Vehicle Inquiry System (GMVIS) has also been loaded with the involved cars, so a dealership could run the VIN to see if a particular Solstice was included in the recall.

Repairs could have started on Friday, on Solstices in dealership inventory. Sure some did.

All that will happen the week of the 8th, is that the notification mailing will go out to owners. Although even they do not have to wait. GM VIS will confirm the need.
