I'm pretty sure GM is doing more extended testing on the Stage II kit since it'll be warranty covered so they need to validate all climate types and temperatures. Running race cars on the boosted tune isn't a really good test since they put a couple hundred miles on the cars then they're done.

MotorTrend has it right and wrong per the usual. They're not talking about the Stage II kit.
