I just received my new shifter and boot from JPM yesterday. I also had my center console padded and leather covered. I have been watching this thread since it began and spent quite a bit of time deciding how I wanted my center console done, either plain leather, plain stitched or diamond pattern stitched. I decided to go with the plain leather. Most people don't realize it didn't come from the factory like that. This is the way it should have come as the ¼" padding is perfect for using the console as an arm rest.

I also went a little different on the shifter knob. I decided on the black co-polymer piston with shift pattern engraved in white. I also had USMC embroidered on the leather shifter boot since I'm retired from the Marine Corps. It took all of ten minutes to change out the stock shifter and boot. I love the feel of the shifter much better than the stock one. The shifter and boot got many good comments at a car show I participated in today.
