Yorktown Victory Center
Taking our Solstices and Skys back in time and learning some history of Williamsburg
Plans: We will use the Yorktown Victory Center parking lot (Rt. 1020 & Colonial Pwy) as a marshaling area – about twenty miles to Williamsburg with at least one pull off large enough for 20-30 cars overlooking the USN terminal on the York. We will spend our time in Williamsburg with lunch at the Williamsburg Winery.

Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown form “Virginia’s Historic Triangle,” all linked by the scenic Colonial Parkway and are easily reached via interstates 95 and 64 and U.S. Route 17. The Colonial Parkway, a 23-mile scenic three-lane highway, connects Yorktown Battlefield, Colonial Williamsburg and Historic Jamestowne. The Parkway starts at the Yorktown Battlefield Visitor Center parking, heads west following the York River to Williamsburg, turns south to follow the James River, and ends up in the Historic Jamestowne Visitor Center parking lot.
