The early MkIV 1.8T used a K03 which was followed by the K03s. Simply a K03 with a lager compressor.
The K04 appeared on the Audi TT. The first a K04-10 and then the TT 225 had a K04-20. I believe the the bi-turbo RS6 also used K04's. These were not twin scroll unlike the MkV GTI's K04.
The difference is hardly noticeable when they are set side-by-side.
All of these were developed by Borg-Warner.
