There's a comparison shot of stock vs. lowered on Kappasphere's website- with the stock wheels and tires. It's a better illustration for those of us with stock rubber.

I've got a pretty steep driveway entrance and I'm scraping the underneath rubber air dam already. I've got my lowering springs coming in the mail as we speak... so I'm a little nervous about it...but I sometimes can't stand how 'tall' the car looks from certain angles, so I'll just have to cope.
