For future reference, my favorite hike on the road to Ojai is to the Punch Bowls, which are behind Thomas Aquinas College between Santa Paula and Ojai. It is a four-mile hike along the river to get back to the pools, but the reward is a great way to cool off from the summer heat. Here are a couple of YouTube videos:
