Well... it is definitely all personal preference... but just to illustrate what I'm talking about with the old trucks, here are a couple reference pictures.
First is an original style cluster.
Followed by a dash where it looks like they were just pushed in.
Then 2 pictures of a dash where they were taken apart and mounted inside the dash.
I just think that the autometer gauges would look real good if they were placed inside the dash.
If I didn't need my car for a daily driver... I'd take the dash apart to figure out how to do it myself.
