Oh Ive been all up side of down and eveywhere in between with them. Opcon is real hard to get ahold of, but Yes I have several of their cores (sticks) for prototyping.
They require alot more expensive machining. Each of the largest stick I have is only good for 7-9lbs/min. That means I would need at least six in there. They have great fin aspect ratio so they are very efficient at heat transfer, but only if you have the close fitting housing to direct the air over.
Even the ZR-1 team deemed the cores too small for their "modest" 625hp car.
I would be interested to see the pressure drop across that Redline's core.
You will see 850+whp LNF's rolling out of my shop... Bet money on it. we'll find away around the hardcode limit of 255kpa.
