I could certainly see a small deer entering the grill area at a high rate of speed certainly ending up as the pictures portray. And even if a small species of deer does not exist in the area of the incident..it could have been a fawn or juvenile. At this point I would say most likely genuine.

In fact indeed it was a small species of deer...it was a Roe Deer... very small....found this blog regarding same incident: DEER Hit on AUTOBAHN ???

Roe Deer by definition: Roe Deer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I just did a little more research on this "incident". Seems this 'happened' back in 2007 and reportedly it was a 140-150 lb deer. I tried Snopes but found nothing.

Personally ... I find this hard to believe - not saying it *couldn't* happen - just hard to believe.
