This is a characteristic of all handheld tuners, whether from BSR, Diablo, SCT or others. The reason is easy to understand....if not for this exclusive assignment to one car, once a certain number of tuners was in the field, sales would dry up as the units are transferred from car to car to car indefinitely. It seems harsh, but it's necessary for the business model to be viable. As a point of comparison, one must consider...buying a tune from another provider is also for that car only, and not transferable to other cars. The only exception is the purchase of specific licensing from certain software providers that allow unlimited vehicles to be flashed for a one time charge...but only for a specific model and year. These licenses also are not inexpensive, and require technical knowledge of the software to implement...not really comparable to PPC.

Can you sell the BSR tune with handheld PPC if you swap ECMs and have the same model year vehicle?
