The focus of this thread is to talk about the sound, good and bad. Also experiences with exhaust systems and sound of inline 4s. And possibly spur interest of vender's or free thinkers to look outside of the engineering box in addressing the sound of the inline 4. The possibility of not just changing tone or volume, but the feasibility of changing the perceived cadence via the exhaust system. Somewhat like what is achieved by accident on the WRX.
I do like the way that our motors make power and its potential power. We are lucky to have a very well designed, advanced engine platform.
I feel that Chris is the one confused, trying to confuse issues.

No I think Chris is spot on. Jap is derogatory if you talk to anybody who served during WWII. You'll hear them use it as such. That being the case, you got a away with it, I assumed you didn't know any better or cared. But someone has called you out on it and all you did was change the subject.
You keep speaking in circular logic(if you can call it logic). We understand what the engines sound like, and how it is not possible to make one sound like a completely different engine. So this thread is dead. WE GOT IT. YOU LIKE THE SOUND OF HARLEY ENGINES AND WRX. PUT THEM IN YOUR CAR.
