Since Sequoia's a bit away from everything, we have Lodging available directly in Grant's Grove:
Here's the planned activities:
- Saturday:
- 9:30 Breakfast at Grant's Grove Cafe
- Visit the General Grant tree
- Head off toward Cedar Grove through Kings Canyon
- Stops in Crescent Meadow to visit Tharp's Log
- Lunch in Cedar Grove
- Back through Lake Hume
- Drive down to General Sherman Tree
- Moro Rock (if it's open)
- 7:00 PM Dinner reservations at the Wuksachi Lodge
- Sunday:
- 8:45 Breakfast at Grant's Grove Cafe
- 9:45 Leave for Crystal Cave (The cave's 46 degrees F, so bring a jacket!)
- 11:00 Crystal Cave Tour
- Lunch at Lodge Pole Village
- Head for home
