A service dept won't touch a car without it being an hours rack fees.. I know the PTs have a tranny "quick learn" for the auto's it takes 15min with the OBD thingy and a tranny tech pushing buttons but you get charged an hour PERIOD.

You use a dealers service dept for crap no one else will want to touch, or recalls stuff like that.. You find a local indie to do all your work, better yet find a corvette shop to do your work or help you out.. We have lift it like a vetter at least these guys will have a clue how to do that.. I've found people lifting the sol is a nightmare and a half..

Sorry a service dept won't touch that backbone since when you have a problem with it - it will be their problem.. They don't wan't problems only money from fixing run of the mill problems.
