Unfortunately, they put it in a rather bloated chassis pushing 3,000 lbs. in the Solstice.

One can't help thinking about the same engine in a lighter car. Some of you are getting 400 BHP+ in your Solstices.

Stick it into something like this, that weighs just over 1500 lbs., and that would be like an 800 BHP Solstice would feel!

This modified Lotus Europa runs a 20B Mazda RX7 motor that puts out only a couple of hundred BHP. An LNF would fit very nicely in that chassis. keeping it on the ground might be an issue....

Ok I know I am asking a million questions on this forum about my newest mod but in my defense I just want to do it right the first time.I ran my Pyle backup camera wire to the trunk, routed it to the rear of the trunk . From the outside I pushed the wire from the camera under the lip where the rear brake light is and it now sits in the sill under the trunk lid.I know that it is all sealed so no water gets into the trunk because of the way the wires are run from the GPS antenna wires.Short of drilling a hole and using some silicone to form a grommet or puncture the wire housing rubber hose up high ,is there another preferred way to connect the wires.
As always Thanks:thumbs:

After continuing to read postings to; 1st 1000 (any first 1000 cars still here), (started 12/27/05 and has continued to 5-20-13). Along with; New Owner, Anybody Still Around (started 1-02-2010 continuing to 5-21-13).

It got me to wondering why did you sell your Kappa?

1. Simply tired of it?
2. Too small?
3. Pontiac discontinued?
4. Mechanical issues?
5. Quality issues?
6. Performance issues (wasn't fast enough)
6. Health issues?
7. Financial issues?
8. Other

Generally speaking, if I can buy a used vehicle from the original owner or dealer I always ask (with the understanding I may not get honest answer) if they know the reason it was traded in.

As someone who tends to keep their vehicles for a long period of time informing myself with as much knowledge beforehand has always played a part in a final buying decision.

Also, since GM continues to monitor threads, and because GM has turned the Pontiac G8 into Chevrolet please do not Kappa bash because it is unacceptable that the world continues to only one entry-level sports car (Mazda M5) I hold out hope that GM could revive one of the Kappa platforms and introduce it under one of their existing division which could lead to my ultimate hope that Kappa become a multi-generations platform (again no comments needed regarding a Kappa II because it's just my misguided hope).

With VA Sky's blessing, some of us HCC regulars are cooking up something special to keep the HCC going this year. Due to fact that hotel costs are being quoted to us at double rate for Labor Day weekend, we are looking to push it up a week to keep it reasonable. So, we are thinking August 23/24 for the main routes (Friday/Saturday) in order to leave Sunday for return travel. A lunch run on Thursday is also possible if we get enough early arrivals.

Oh yea, it's a change in Venue as well...about 2 hours west of the normal HCC stomping ground, and it will be anchored in Bryson City, NC.

If you've been to any events "near" Fontana Dam in the past, you might already have an idea of the roads that will be in the mix! However, a short section of the BR Parkway, NC 28 and NC 215 will provide for plenty excitement as the signature route on Friday.

So, don't make other plans for that weekend yet, you can't miss this one!

Details to follow as they solidify.

I'm looking for a place like that to make working on my car easier. I sometimes need specialty tools or run into a problem which always makes the work longer than I expected. It would be even better if they have a lift and other equipment. Something like a self-serve garage or DIY garage. Any info would be very helpful.
