I know they used the same method as found on the Vette and GM went through lots of recalls trying to fix the top popping. Their latest 'solution' helped a lot but my Vette goes back to popping when parked in the sun for awhile then you start driving it. The wife's solstice has started the popping since I removed her top once for her to experience whether or not she liked the top off.
