What basic upgrades are required for drifting?

While going sideways through an intersection the other day, I got to thinking...

If I wanted to some day start taking my Sol to a drift track, what would be the fundamental must-have upgrades? I would assume slick tires and more power. Would I be after high-end torque even more than pure HP? Might a supercharger be better than a V8 swap? Sway bars? Multicolored stickers with a lot of stripes? (kidding!)

I'm just curious about the "essential" ones. As with any other theoretical project, any upgrade is possible; I'm just interested in the must-haves.

drilled and slotted rotors.. what are you/have been using?

what drilled and slotted rotors are your guys using and were they any good? iam looking into getting some from R1 concepts (link to them will follow) and what to know if anyone used them before. iam looking at the premium ones.

Billy Boat non-ricer sound

Almost everyone likes to hear a masculine sounding Hotrod/Sports car.
Late '60s muscle cars, Porsche, Lambo, Maserati or Just the American V-8.
Its hard to have a louder 4 cylinder sound other then like the Import tuner RAA. RAA Cars.
A long time looking and Haggling with my self I have come full circle back to the Billy Boat Exhaust.
