In Phoenix, our SKY-SOL club has had a couple of "Dyno Days" for our roadsters, often doing before-and-after comparisons immediately after tunes or intake and exhaust upgrades. In two cases that I am aware of, we ended up not doing the mods or tunes because of problems we found with the cars. One was just knocking real bad, possibly due to bad gas, and another may have had catalytic converter problems (still working with the dealer on that one). If the car isn't throwing any codes, however, it may difficult to get the dealer to act, so having a dyno sheet to show them (plus other stock dyno sheets run on identical vehicles on the same day and under the same conditions) may help.

By the way, I know that Martin is working with auto mechanic schools to try to arrange less expensive dyno days for local SKY and Solstice clubs everywhere. Until now, it has been costing $50-100 per car to do the dynos, but it looks like we may be able to significantly knock that down, at least in major cities that have these schools.

What i have gathered so far.
Correct me if i am wrong.

GM Roadster Dyno Chart - http://www.gmroadster.com/images/stories/dyno_lg.jpg
GM Roadster Tune Cost - $300
ECU through GM Roadster - $400
GM Roadster Update Costs - $75, includes return shipping
Available on HP Tuners - NO
Keep Stability Control - ??
Keep Competition Mode - ??
Rev Limiter - ?
Top Speed Limiter - ?
Tune and BTF Upgrade - ?

HP: 308
TQ: 361

Average Car pull of 214 Wheel HP and on our tune the same car pulled 255 Wheel HP (41WHP Increase).
Stock Torque was 247Lbs and on tune was 299Lbs (52Lbs Gain).
On the same car that relates to 308 Crank HP and 361 Crank Torque.
Least gain seen was 24Whp and the most we saw was 52Whp.

Answered Questions:

GXP 2007 and 2008? (yes Both Years)

Where did the tune come from? (Our own in house tuner)

Is this a computer swap or reflash via hand held tuner? (Either ECM Swap / Mail but no not a Hand Held Unit)

Any customer feedback available? (Coming early next week)

Are the stock airflow sensors being used, if so how are they performing? (Yes, They are capable of reading up to 255kPa and we are operating with in that range)

Do you need to purchase upgraded hose clamps? (No but you will need to tighten the factory ones)

Timeslips, G Meter 0-60 or 1/4 mile times? (Have not gotten out to the track yet, also there are a lot of variables when it comes to track times)

I have an announcement to make PLEASE.
I am calling ALL the Supporting TUNER vendors to participate in my plan, and together with BTFRacing will give the Solstice\SKY membership, a performance solution that when weight against performance vs $$$ spend will be a win win situation, not only for the owners but also for the Tuner Vendors.
Here is the PLAN.
I will be sending a GXP Turbocharger(GM KO4) to BTFRacing, this Stock turbocharger will get the new upgraded wheel and it will also be Swain Tech.
Once BTFRacing is finish with it, the upgraded turbocharger will be offer for a period of 15 days, to each Supporting tuner Vendor on the forum.
Starting with PCMForless if Alvin\Bryan want to take advantage of this offer and ALL others.
They can have the upgraded turbocharger and for 15 days they can develop tunes for our 2.0 LNF motor. I would like for them to develop tunes 1st using ALL stock hardware except for the Upgraded turbo of course, then they can add what ever extra components they would like to certify with their tune.
Next PCMForless will send the Upgraded Turbocharger to GMRoadster (Martin) and the same scenario of 15 days etc.
From there I would like for Dejon (Dave) using Lyndon's Westers tune and his Dejon IC to incorporate the BTF Turbo upgrade with this tune and any additional pieces they would want to test and offer to the membership.
I will also make the offer to Lyndon if he feels the need to test it in his own facilities in Canada.
I would also like to have Vector Motor Sports another of our Tuner Vendors participate, however they will need a couple of cars to be able to incorporate their tune with BTF Turbo upgraded wheel.
Finally I would like to challenge Hahn from Hahn Racecraft to send his IC with the BTF Turbocharger upgraded wheel, so those members that would like to have his IC, the tuners can also offer this combination.
I also do not want to leave RPI out of the equation, so if they would like to participate on this PLAN they are also welcome to have the BTF Turbo upgraded wheel turbocharger.
After ALL Tuners that want to take advantage of this PLAN are done, then the last one will return the Turbocharger back to BTFRacing for inspection and then finally back to me.
I truly hope that ALL the above mentioned Supporting vendors take advantage of this plan.
I am using the 15 days or 2 weeks for each tuner so they have ample time to develop tunes for different years(07/08/09) and also 5 speed vs automatic.
If they feel 15 days is not long enough we need to come up with a reasonable time table so, tunes can start been offer to our membership ASAP.
My expectations are that after this is done we will have tunes that will give our cars the stock power of a LS1(350 BHP), LS2(400 BHP) and the LS3 (430 BHP).
Thank you.
PS:
BTF the turbocharger is been FDX to me this coming Monday, once I have it I will then ship it to you, for the Upgrade of the Wheel and also the Swain Tech coating.
