I guess it's time I finally joined the Special Kappa Friends Club .
I joined and I am getting the flash too. Don't know for sure if I will get the Extra ECM or just re-flash mine on the send-in route. for $300 that is the best bargain out there. So much so, that it totally negates our friend BigBlau's bloated arguments about the V-6 now doesn't it...

Exactly $300 for that much horsepower and torque is awesome, that's the main reason why I bought a forced induction motor. It is just so easy to turn up the boost.
Stevie, I shot you a PM

Yes 2007 & 2008 model years.....we have Dyno Charts on the way we are compiling charts from a few different pulls.

Martin:
I do not think there was any mention of your ECM mod increasing the RPM limit? Does your tune raise the RPM limit to 7K or above? Thanking you in advance for your response.
Does 310 crank horsepower include the difference in wheel horsepower multiplied by 115% and then added to 260 crank horsepower:
(263 whp – 219whp)(115%) + 260hp = 310 Crank HP
Or
Is 310 crank horsepower just simply the difference between stock whp and reflash whp added to 260:
(269 whp-219 whp) + 260 = 310 Crank HP
The difference between the two being 263 wheel horsepower versus 269 wheel horsepower. I came up with 263 wheel horsepower just be subtracting the 15% drive train loss from 310 crank hp.
I guess we just need to look at a dynograph right?

How does this tune compare to Westers? Anyone have numbers for Wester Race tune?
Westers did not have a 2008 tune yet, that's why we're all freaking out. $200 for PCMs for less and $300 for GM roadster.

Yeah, I know this about the 2008's but I still want to compare the numbers. I thought the Westers tune (for the 2007) produced better numbers, but I could not find the info on the forum when I did a search.

What you are going to have to break it down to is a % in increased hp over stock. The GMRoadster numbers are very conservative, I'll tell you that. I have 3 more cars lined up for the dyno this Saturday, one is also an automatic. I do not want to base the numbers off of one car, I want to prove that it is consistent across the board. I have been tuning the HHR SS, Cobalt SS, Sky Redline, and Solstice GXP. So far results are similar between the different models. This motor is a little rocket for what it is.

The true base is 216 - 219 RWHP = 260 BHP
Also the % is more like 17% and not 15% loss.
GM Roadster has the better figures, which means the Dyno was probably calibrated properly.
He said 310 + so if you use 312 - 315 with the 17% loss it gets pretty close to the 260 BHP.
The gain for either tune is about the same regardless of the starting stock Dyno RWHP figure.

Martin will post the results shortly. I have compiled all of the data. He will not be releasing low ball figures vs. best result figures. What he will be posting is the median stock pull vs. the median tuned pull. The numbers still look awesome!
I have these cars pulling upwards of 361 torque at the crank on average! Power kicks in as soon as you touch the gas, this car comes alive!
I saw as much as 321 crank horsepower too.
We dyno'd all 8 cars on 91 octane pump gas, completely stock cars even stock airfilter etc, and in 111deg. outside temperatures. The actual temperature coming in the intakes was 135deg so whatever numbers you see from Martin will be conservative.....very much so. Most people will probably see significantly more power because the computer reduces power output at those intake air temperatures.
People with 93 octane should expect ~2% more power, and people in colder climates will expect even more power. There should be no one out there pulling the temps that we do, but I test these cars to the extreme when I make a solid tune. I don't want to tell you one thing, and then have you experience far less, "I" want to experience any heartbreak first hand, and then let you have all the fun.
