GMR SEMA 2009 Show Coverage

Well we attended the New products breakfast this morning and hit the show floor at 9am. We had the opportunity to glaze over the North & Central halls, here are a few pictures so far.

Unfortunately this years show is being dominated by the 2010 Camaro's, everywhere you look there is another Camaro! Between the two halls and outside we have only seen two Solstice and zero SKY's.... Even the GM Booth only had Camaro's.....

Not surprising, really. SEMA has always been about the latest and greatest, and Kappas aren't any more.

Hi:

Any additional info on the last solstice picture with the wide body would be appreciated. I'm interested in knowing who built the wide body kit and if it is available to purchase? Thanks for your response and have a great time at SEMA.

There was a Sky in the section covering alternative fuel cars. It was an electric conversion.

I was thinking of using it myself. I've also found a source for CF leather hides but this material looks thinner and would be easier to wrap panels with. The Bimmer guys seemed to like it.

It was a 3M product. They had some that had a brushed stainless look that was nice too.
Pretty amazing stuff, not just sticky vinyl. They took a piece of it any crumpled it all up so it was all wrinkled and stuck to itself. Then they unfolded it and hit it with a heat gun and it went right back to it's original condition, no wrinkles, no stretch, no marks whatsoever.

they had some freebee samples:

Have a brochure around somewhere.
There were a couple of outfits there wrapping vehicles with this stuff, pretty neat process to watch.
