I see what everyone was talking about with the hesitation, though I experienced no backfire. I had to adjust my daily driving ease out the hesitation. I only stalled once, but ECM is still learning. I need to do a CASE relearn, as well.
Other than those issues, it was a clean install. The guys at Village Auto doen here talked with Dave a couple of times for help, so it was Dave to the rescue again.
The S/C is loud. I hear it over my exhaust at WOT. It's definately another animal. Once the daily driving bugs are smoothed out, it will be the perfect street car for me.
A 2nd gear roll-on at 40 mph kicks the tires loose. I'm gonna need a clutch eventually, as well.
My dyno numbers were 211 whp/ 222 lb-ft. Once the ECM adapts and I get the CASE relearn done, those should look a little better, I think. If not, HP Tuners, here I come.
The tune for this is a work in progress. I'm testing a Beta tune right now which definitely helps a lot but is still not perfect. I'll keep everyone updated...
As I read on the DDM forum. Technically, though, you have a public beta, not the beta. J/k.
It's not unmanageable, just have make sure I shift differently. More annoying than anything.
The hesitation comes and goes. Sometimes it's not there, sometimes it is. I have a full system in the car from the headers back. Solo exhaust, the rest is DDM. It snarls and pops and I love it.
It wouldn't start once today. I had to pop the clutch to get it moving. Drove it across town and now it's starting fine. Something to do with the CASE relearn? Yes? No? Plenty of power, just click-click-click from the injectors.
Dynoed it again at a different dyno today. 210 whp/ 213 lb-ft.
Defainetly needs some tweaks. Once it's rolling, though. Whooooooo!
Okay, small progress report. After the dealer didn't quite understand what I needed from them- totally my fault- the service man relearned my entire PCM.
Of course, the car wouldn't run without DDM's S/C maps, so I had to ask them to overnight me another PCM once again showing their impeccable customer service.
I sat down with the service man and he finally understood what I needed. I got the PCM, which the dealer installed at no charge, and they did the CRANK VARIATION relearn.
Car runs strong. No codes. The only issue there is is being beta tested as I type this, I think.
